This text is provided to let you know 1) how we use the personal information you provide us; 2) how we protect that information; 3) how we disclose your information to other registered users who win or bid on your AUCTIONS OR SUPER CLASSIFIEDS OR TENDER / or if you win or bid on an AUCTIONS OR SUPER CLASSIFIEDS OR TENDER

We want to disclose as much information about our use of your data as possible, because we know this is important to our users. Please note that most sites you come into contact with will not share this information with users (either because they don't feel it is important to you or they are using your information in ways you might feel are inappropriate or misleading). Since we feel our policy is user-friendly, FULL DISCLOSURE , we want to disclose all information.

1) What we get from you

TRANSPORT UNIVERSE requests certain information from registered users. We require a valid and true

full name, full street address, phone number, user ID, and password. In the use of our service, we also track certain information about you. For purely statistical information, we register which URL (whether within TRANSPORT UNIVERSE itself or somewhere else) you just came from, which URL you take to leave, what browser make and version you are using, what operating system you are using, and your IP address. Most sites automatically track this information about all users.Our use of cookies is exceptionally limited.

If you bid or sell, our system keeps track of your bidding, buying, and selling statistics. This helps you when searching through closed auctions or previous purchases. In addition, we may collect additional information when you purchase credit on the Secure Server (such as billing address, billing phone number) or with postal payment. the secure server takes complete control of processing your credit card information on their system. We never see or hold your card number on our system in any way.

Additionally, feedback you post to the system or messages you post to the message boards is retained for reference by other users. Messages on message boards are kept only for a limited time. If you send us correspondence, such as email or letters, we may collect and keep that information for an unlimited time. If other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or posting on our site, we may collect and keep that information for an unlimited time.

2) How we use your information

We use your information internally at times to improve our marketing, promotion, and understanding of usage. We use information to draw statistics of site usage so we may improve content and better customize site layout. We use your email address internally to contact you regarding notices and updates from time to time. At other times we may use your information from your current and past activities on the site to troubleshoot problems, settle disputes, and/or enforce the User Agreement. We may also evaluate user information to look for users who try to use multiple user IDs.

3) How we disclose your information

We do NOT and will not sell, rent, license, sublicense, or loan any of your information to any third party.

We disclose certain information about you to registered TRANSPORT UNIVERSE users, and only in certain conditions. In the case that you have won an auction item, your contact information will be available to the seller. In the case that you sell an item, your contact information will be available to the highest bidder . Your email address will be made available to all users, as your user ID will always be linked to your email address (but only other REGISTERED users can obtain this address by clicking your user ID). This is the fastest, easiest way to contact another registered user. And only after successful transactions.

Your user ID is used to identify you throughout the system. Throughout the system, other users can identify and/or find your postings, auctions, and bids through your user ID. Because of this,other users or third parties may (beyond our control) send you unsolicited email. This is beyond our control, but see Section 4 below for information regarding this matter. This is extremely hard to do, however, as only registered users can obtain your email address through your user ID. Spam 'bots' on the internet will have a very hard time getting any addresses.

Phone numbers are only given to users with whom you have a direct dealing with (high bid or seller). If a user is having trouble contacting you, we may give that user your phone number so you can establish better contact.

We make every effort to keep your contact information safe and secure. Unfortunately, due to the very nature and environment of the service, we cannot ensure that all communications and personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Statement. For example, we may be forced to disclose any information about you to the government or third parties under certain circumstances. Additionally, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions and information. Further, we can (and you authorize us to) disclose any information about you to law enforcement and other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate. Therefore, although we use practices and security to protect your privacy, we do not promise that your information will remain private.

4) Your use of other users' information

Our service allows you immediate access to other users' email addresses. Additionally, high bidders and sellers have access to contact information for the appropriate user. This and all user information obtained throughout TRANSPORT UNIVERSE is to be used only for: 1) TRANSPORT UNIVERSE -related communications that are not unsolicited commercial messages; 2) any other purpose that such user expressly opts into after adequate disclosure of the purpose(s).

Under no circumstances shall you disclose any information about another user to any third party without the consent of such other user after adequate disclosure. We and our users do not tolerate email spam. Therefore, without limiting the foregoing, you are not entitled to add any TRANSPORT UNIVERSE user (even a user who has purchased an item from you or sold to you) to your mailing list (physical or email) without their express consent after adequate disclosure.

You may not use the 'Send item info to a friend' service for spam, and the same terms in this agreement apply to this service. Email addresses entered here are only used to send the requested email, and are not stored on our system or used in any other way.

5) Control your password and personal information

You may not disclose your password to third parties or share it. If, despite the foregoing, you lose control of your password, you may lose control over your account and may be legally bound to actions taken on your behalf. If your password is compromised for any reason, please change it immediately.

Changing a User ID is only possible by contacting TRANSPORT UNIVERSE staff directly. This involves termination of an old account and setup of a new one. All feedback is lost in this process. A user whose account has been terminated for any reason is not allowed to register again without express permission from TRANSPORT UNIVERSE staff.

6) Third Parties

This policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. If you so choose to disclose your information to other parties, whether buyers or sellers on our system or sites and services throughout the internet, different rules may apply. Since we can't control the privacy policy of any third party, you are subject to the privacy customs and policies of that party. We encourage all users to ask questions before you disclose any personal information to others.

7) General

This Statement is incorporated into and subject to the terms of the TRANSPORT UNIVERSE User Agreement.
